Halloween Decorations

So I've taken some pictures of just a few things I put out for my favorite of Holidays, I do hope you will enjoy them as much as I do. Most of what I am showing I made myself-

Witch Dress Forms

These "ladies" are small paper mache dress forms that I covered in paper, added wooden base and neck pieces and then made little hats for- they are very sassy.

Potion Jars and cabinet of curiosities

These my husband helped put the labels on the vintage bottles and jars- we laughed all through this process, but it was very nice to share a taste of my hobby with him.

Door Wreath
This is the wreath I made for our door (which needs to be cleaned! sheesh look at those finger prints- eew- I think that's the scariest thing I have up for Halloween!

Paper Mache Pumpkins

These colorful pumpkins are paper mache forms that I layer thin tissue paper over- I love layering the color and patterns over each other. I bought another stack of forms for this year, but didn't get to them- even a couple of skulls. I am sure I will get my hands dirty soon with them.

That's a small taste of what I put up. I also am a rabid I mean avid collector of Lemax Spookytown village houses, and put up a display every year. I've not gotten a good picture of the display yet this year- here's a so - so view:

Distraction

I've been completely distracted, and totally carried away from just about everything- except the focus of the distraction. My new car.

Yes, I've got a car now that is my autocrosser- and much more. She's lovely:

For anyone who doesn't know by looking it's a Torch Red Corvette Z06 with the C5 body (C5s were made from 1997-2004), and I am in love. It has a special red and black leather interior and is very fast. It sounds amazing and turns a lot of heads- especially when the boys see a woman behind the wheel. I've had it out on course once (in less than 24 hours of ownership) and enjoyed every minute of it. I have to wait until April 2010 for the new season of autocross so that "Anna" and I - my very own Nimbus 2k1 (Harry Potter reference) can take on the season together and see what we can do together.

The only bad thing is, I have to put her up for the winter- and it looks like it might be a long winter of dreaming of sunny days driving my pretty, pretty car.

So since I've been so distracted, I let October go by without really posting about the things I love and do in October- I just spent October loving something I have and going out and doing in it. But never fear- I will share stuff with you- regardless of the month. I'm going to go take pictures before I put anything away.

Talk to you soon- must stay away from garage- I don't think we need anything from the store- but maybe I could just check to see if I need to run an errand... Pictures first-
